as the basis for quality management.

• Too much allocation of time limits and scheduling leads to misuse of resources. Idle time should be calculated in terms of productivity for workers and machines simultaneously. Predefined time frames should be reduced and every minute reading should be recorded. This allows identifying lapses and the rectification is done easily.

Investment not only in terms of money but also in logistics, production, human resource, time etc. it effects the aim of Toyota Production System to produce quality automobiles in the shortest duration which are cost effective. The whole activity of production is divided into part according to the process and availability of resources. A schedule is prepared and implemented one after the other.

• Workers participation is high in TPS, they are involved in decision making for improvement. Suggestions are taken from workers and most of them are implemented. This procedure is implemented in Toyota because workers who participate in the production process directly will be aware of in and out of the process. Their suggestions contribute in increasing the efficiency levels in manufacturing automobiles.
• Automobile production in the shortest time with total wastage elimination is the motive of Toyota Production System. In order to achieve this maintaining quality is every important and it is done through a methodology called jidoka.

• Employees are answerable for the equipment they use. Toolkits are provided and they are accountable for their tools.
